Lock and Load Your Guns with GunWallet

Despite being a controversial subject, guns can protect us when in danger. Being small, portable and extremely profitable in gray market sales, guns are always vulnerable to theft. Then there are those natural disasters that can bring the house down. In such scenarios, we must have the details of the gun handy so that law enforcement can track it before falling into the wrong hands.

GunWallet securely stores your gun information in the cloud. We’ll take a look at how GunWallet can help to recover the monetary value of your guns from the insurance company if it is not recovered.

Overview

GunWallet lets you store the details of your gun safely online. If the gun is damaged during an emergency like fire or flood or if it is stolen, you can use the details stored in GunWallet to either repurchase the gun or notify the authorities. With GunWallet, once you add a gun you will be able to re-order them, add unlimited images, detailed information and even export your firearm information to PDF file for local storage.

Dashboard

After activating the account, we are taken to a beautifully designed dashboard. The user interface & colors are easy on the eyes and a pat on the shoulder for the GunWallet team for not opting to use dark & brooding shades given the product they deal with.

Vital information like serial number, make, model number and caliber can be added from the Add new gun form. In case you have assigned the gun to someone else, details of the person along with the date of transfer can also be recorded.

Clicking the Add this Gun option brings us back to the dashboard which shows the details of the gun we just added. However, if you want to add pictures, you will have to click on Details. It would have been nice if we were able to upload images while adding the gun itself.

All the details, including images, can be downloaded in PDF format and the same can be submitted to your insurance company to initiate the claims process. However, the PDF generated is very bland and does not even sport the logo of GunWallet.

Final Thoughts

GunWallet promises not to nickel and dime you and at only $20 per year. You can subscribe to this service if you are really impressed with the free trial, or just cancel. The app does not do anything that a Word document with the details of the gun typed in can’t — except for offering a nice looking web page. But since this is a cloud based service, you can sleep better at night knowing that in case of theft or a disaster you’ll have the gun information needed to help law enforcement find the stolen gun or the insurance company reimburse you for the value of the gun.

Summary

In the case of a theft or burglary, both law enforcement and insurance companies will swiftly be able to identify your stolen firearms and track them down by using Gunwallet.com.
