Pricing

TwittaPolls is free and has the option of paying to upgrade the quota of polls, voters and other options. Though it is not clear on the website how much this upgrade costs and there is no option present, it is safe to assume that when paying for the upgrade, all limits on polls would be lifted.

You can get started with TwittaPolls in seconds – all you have to do is sign into TwittaPolls with either Twitter or Facebook. Once you’ve done this, you can create your first poll. Poll Voting

When users vote on a poll, they will be presented with a current overview of the poll’s results showing how many people have voted for each option as well as a map with all votes on. Each person voting is represented on the map by a color that corresponds to that of the answer they have chosen and this can be useful if you’re looking to find out where the most popular voters are for each answer, which in turn can be useful if you’re actually looking for a more detailed country-by-country vote on a specific topic. Overall, as you’d expect, it’s pretty simple to vote on the polls created on TwittaPolls and you get a fairly basic but nonetheless useful view of the voters.

Additional Interaction

As well as offering a view of the voters based on their current location, it’s also possible to interact with other users that have voted on the poll. Each poll comes with a comment system whereby voters can add their additional thoughts on the poll and the results of it, thus allowing both engagement with the voters and it can also allow for more detailed answers that provide a significantly better view of the voter’s thoughts.

When polls are created, they allow for hashtags to be associated with them and as such, these can be useful in gathering the thoughts of your voters outside of the poll. This can also be a useful way of associating your poll with other current issues, and with the trending of Twitter, can also provide a wider availability of voters if the poll is associated with a topic that people are talking about.

Sharing

One of TwittaPolls’ greatest advantages is the ability to easily share each poll created with other users of social networks. Due to the limit on length in the question of the poll, the details of the poll can fit in a standard tweet which allows for easy distribution of the link through Twitter. As well as Twitter, polls can also be shared through Facebook which is particularly more useful to users who want to also get their friends’ vote on a poll they have voted on.

As well as these sharing options, TwittaPolls polls can also be embedded within websites using a small snippet of JavaScript. Whilst there is no option to customize these, it’s still a good replacement to other poll apps due to its sheer social appeal.

Final Thoughts

Overall, TwittaPolls is a great solution to solving your polling needs and overall providing a simple and fast way to create polls on the fly. Whilst the set of features is pretty basic, it does exactly what you’d expect an app of this type to do and does so well.

With a really insightful way of displaying the information, geographical relevance can also be analyzed simply by viewing the poll’s results. Whilst the app does have some really good qualities, I found the interface to be somewhat inconsistent and a little cluttered at times. With the addition of some more useful features, the app would be a really good way of gathering information and taking advantage of social networks to the full extent.
