Four App Giveaway Winners

This week’s giveaway was sponsored by some of the most popular and absolute best web apps around; Formstack, SpiderOak, SmugMug and Remember The Milk. All together we have 10 lucky winners this week! Read on to see who they are.

Thank You!

I’d like to first send out a big Thank You to this week’s giveaway sponsors, but also to every Web.AppStorm reader that participated in the giveaway. We appreciate everyone’s support!

Winners were randomly selected and will be notified via email shortly with additional details on collecting your apps.

Formstack

I’ve noticed a few people commented on Formstack’s (previously FormSpring) name change, wondering why it was necessary. I’d like to point out the change was driven by the growth of another product by the same great company, formspring.me — a pretty cool Q&A app.

You can read more about the name change at, FormSpring Changes to Formstack.

Formstack

Formstack

Mat Dauzat is the lucky winner of Formstack’s awesome Professional plan. Here’s what Mat had to say in his entry submission.

Every client site I create needs at least one secure, stable form – and that’s where Formstack would come in handy. I really would love to win an account!

SpiderOak

SpiderOak

SpiderOak

Leandro Aparecido and Arturo Guzman are our lucky SpiderOak winners. Here’s what Leandro and Arturo said in their entry submissions.

I’d really like to have 100GB of space online! I’d be able to backup all my important files!

I love freedom, not worrying about when your drive is going to fail or if you drop your laptop, coffee spills, etc… is another degree of freedom in my life.

SmugMug

SmugMug

SmugMug

Scott Wasserman and Chazzel DC are our lucky SmugMug winners. Here’s what Scott and Chazzel had to say in their entry submissions.

I do a lot of videos and graphic design. I have never liked the way that Flikr’s site is and thus, have always wanted to try SmugMug. I make huge sized photos and need a ton of space, so that I don’t slow down my server and the rest of my site. Instead, managing my photos and 1080p videos on a site like SmugMug, would be amazing. …

I would prefer to win SmugMug. I think that having an opportunity to win with SmugMug is worthwhile because It looks professional and I’ve read reviews about it. I also have some friends telling me to try it out. Not only that it will help me to stack unlimited number of photos but the quality of the site motivates me.

Remember The Milk

Remember The Milk

Remember The Milk

Florian Taltavull, Leandro Ardissone, Kyle Wiebers, Rolando Silva and Robert Hays are our lucky Remember The Milk winners. Here’s what each had to say for their submission (in order).

They’re all fantastic, but I think I’d use ‘Remember The Milk’ most, because sometimes my iPhone is used as my second brain!

I’m currently using Toodledo and Things, I want to switch to anything more GTD and better integrated to the cloud.

RTM provides an excellant way to manage tasks without adding a lot additional overhead of task management. Their application is intuitive and customizable and offer 3rd party application access on the iPhone and desktop making it a ubiquitous management tool. This would help me manage my busy life and balance work school and life.

I already use the free version of RTM, and would love to have a pro account with which I could sync tasks with those on my BlackBerry.

I run my personal website for fun – I can’t afford much in the way of tools to support my “habit” so anything helps. I’ve been thinking about using forms for a few things beyond contact requests and Formstack would facilitate that. SpiderOak would give me a better backup path than I have now (ftp to home for my WordPress files + a backup plugin that cannot email me anymore because the backup is too big). I’ve been embedding photos in my blog but would rather use a site, as I’m doing with video, to give more avenues to photo sharing (that’s SmugMug). And I was using Things but now my work computer is a PC so having a shared way to handle my GTD to-do list would be great (Remember the Milk) – and a good friend of mine swears by RTM.
