Nice list, but a you made a mistake at the Grooveshark chapter.

It does have a mobile app which is only available with a paid Grooveshark-subscription ($9/month). The app is available for Android, Palm webOS, iPhone OS, blackberry and symbian, so I believe it’s noteworthy ;)
I’m an Android-user, and there’s an app called “TinyShark’ in the market which let’s you listen to grooveshark on your mobile for free. But this one only streams high quality music so it’s a little hard to listen to music without chunks;)

Podcast Playlist is the best app I’ve found for listening while driving. I listen while commuting. This app remembers where I left off, automatically puts new episodes in the order I want them and it’s so simple with the BIG green play button and the 30 sec forward and back that I’m not distracted while driving. Oh, and continuously playing all the unplayed podcasts is awesome! I love when it just keeps going through my content without me choosing the next episode while I’m driving! Way simpler than the more expensive podcast apps I’ve tried.

Believe it or not there is life outside America, and lot more than in America (475 million in Europe, and that’s doesn’t including those without internet access. However, almost everything I read online is all about America, as though nothing else matters. Take for example the absence of Spotify from this list. Over a million users, the leading music streaming service not in America, on Mac/Windows/iPhone/Android, and it’s not even mentioned anywhere in the post. Why?!

Personally I can’t get Pandora because I’m not America, but I still know all about it as I see some mention of it every week. I have even personally had an email from the CEO, Tim Westergren, soon after Pandora had launched.

I listen to podcasts when I commute so I use “Podcast Playlist”. I’ve been using the app for 6 months and it’s been simple and perfect for the drive. Here’s what it does: continuously plays podcasts in the order I choose, remembers the order when new episodes are available while removing the episodes already listened to, resumes playing where I left off and has buttons for skipping forward and back 30 seconds. Really simple and perfect for the commute.
