Pricing

Quote Roller offers various plans to suit the needs of any individual or business. Operating with the freemium pricing model, they allow users to create an account for free and should they require extra resources within the app, they can simply upgrade to the desired plan when needed and take advantage of the added features.

Ranging from $8.99 to $69.99, the premium plans allow for the addition of extra team members, templates, proposals and storage – whereas the free plan is limited to one of each and a minimal 30mb of storage. The addition of an extra team member comes standard with the “Advanced” ($18.99/month) plan and can be perfect for small businesses with only a couple of staff members that required collaboration.

Getting Started

To begin using the app, all you’re required to do is visit the registration form from which you can create your account. You’ll be asked some extremely basic information about yourself and the company, and then you’ll be allowed to choose the login details you will then be able to supply when you log into the app. You’re also able to choose which package you’d like to sign up for and during the current beta period, all of the packages are available free of charge.

Once you’ve done, you’ll then be taken to the Quote Roller dashboard where you will be presented with a list of the essential tasks that should be completed to make full use of the app.

Using Templates

Before a proposal can be created, it must follow a template. Whether this is one made by users themselves or a generic one submitted by the Quote Roller user community, each proposal must follow one and the templates can be extremely useful if the ability to send out multiple proposals that follow the same format is required.

Choosing a Template

Choosing a Template

Creating these inside Quote Roller is a fairly easy task and it’s simply a case of specifying the various sections of the proposal and adding content blocks to each. These can consist of plain text, images, videos and price tables – meaning that proposals can be made to be visually appealing as well as useful.

Clients

Quote Roller comes complete with a handy little client manager that can be used to manage the various clients that proposals will be issued to. Once added, it becomes even easier to create proposals for a specific client and track the ones already created for them.

Managing Clients

Managing Clients

The client manager makes it possible to view a list of the most recently contacted clients to streamline the process and even sports the ability to select “favourite” clients that are regularly issued proposals. Quote Roller also supports the option of importing clients from a variety of common formats.

Creating Proposals

Proposals can be created quickly using the minimal step process and each one is pretty self-explanatory. Once a template and client has been chosen for that particular proposal, users are presented with the ability to create a price table consisting of products, services or subscriptions or a combination of these. The text of the proposal can also be edited easily within this way, each section being broken down following the template’s nature.

Everything in this section is dynamic and thanks to Quote Roller’s exceptional interface, everything looks and works great – proving to be a massive timesaver which can be essential when dealing with this highly time-consuming type of task.

Delivery

Finally, one of the best features of Quote Roller is its method of delivering proposals to clients. This can be done by downloading the PDF file and then sending that to the client directly or using the web-based delivery feature. With this, a link to the proposal is sent to the client and they are then able to read and review it, allowing them to accept or decline it online – the result of this tracked within the Quote Roller interface.

Conclusion

I was quite surprised with the overall quality of the app and although I had high expectations within mere seconds of being on the front page of the app, it really lived up to what I had expected and more. The interface compliments the application perfectly and everything is simplified, nothing out of place. As for the process of creating the individual proposals and clients within the app, I found these to be quite simple and noticed that the app tried its best not to over-complicate anything.

With most apps, there is a steep learning curve if you’ve never used it before and it can take a while to get used to the features and sections. With Quote Roller, this isn’t the case and everything can be picked up within a matter of seconds. It really does its job well and allows its users to streamline and speed the process of preparing proposals without any hassle or major time investment.

Summary

Quote Roller is an easy solution to creating, preparing and delivering proposals and quotes over the internet - offering handy features to customise and track these where required.

  • Folks,

Quote Roller evolved tremendously since this post. However, the app is still
    completely free.

Let us know if there is anything we can improve in it.

  • The review doesn’t have a lot of (i.e. any) criticisms yet it ‘only’ scored 8/10. What were the downsides that prevented it from scoring higher?
