When your visitors or customers have questions, they typically contact you directly or ask their question(s) in your site forum—assuming you have one. In most situations, a forum isn’t available either.
Qhub provides a fast way to setup a customizable Q&A website in a matter of minutes. With Qhub you can eliminate repetitive questions, save your inbox and make it easier for your visitors or customers to get the answers they’re looking for. Here’s a quick how-to covering this already popular web app.
Sign up is quick and painless, taking only a few seconds to complete. Heading over to Qhub.com we start by entering the name of our Qhub and choosing an address for the site.
In the next step we’ll enter our name, email and desired password (along with completing the captcha).

Qhub Sign Up
The last step is changing your Qhub settings, such as name, tags, tagline, type and privacy.

Qhub Settings
That’s it! Those are the only required steps to get your Qhub Q&A site up and running. You’ll likely want to customize it a little further though, so the sign up process also includes optional steps to further customize your Qhub.
Customize Design
Should you decide to further customize your Qhub during sign up, you’ll start by editing your site’s design settings. There are a few predefined themes but you can optionally upload your own background and header. I love it that Qhub allows you to upload your own background and header, as well as customizing the header height and whether or not the background should tile. These are basic options, but not many web apps include them.

Customize Qhub Design
More customization options are available once you’ve completed the sign up process.
Add Questions
Next, you’ll add questions to be posted in your Qhub Q&A site. You’ll likely just complete this step once you get into the site, or just let others post questions.

Add Questions
Invite Friends
If you want to invite others, you’ll have an option to do so via connecting to your Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo address books (or add addresses manually).

Invite Friends
Social Networks
Qhub has integration options for Twitter and Facebook to allow sharing questions and answers with your followers and friends.

Add Content and Customize
Once you’ve completed the sign up process, all that’s left to do is add content and further customize your Q&A site if necessary.

Ask and Answer Questions
When you add content, you enter questions and answers for others to find. However, Qhub is setup by default to allow anyone who visits your Q&A site to ask questions and rate answers. By default the administrator will be the only one able to answer questions (assuming you set the site type to Personal during sign up). All these settings can of course be changed within the Settings page.

Settings and Customizations
Your Qhub Q&A site has quite a bit of flexibility enabling you to run the site as a locked down and private type of site or a fully fledged community Q&A site, which allows others to answer questions as well.

Integration
This is probably one of the best parts of Qhub! While a Qhub hosted site for Q&A’s for your readers or customers is great, integration with your current site is even better. You shouldn’t force visitors to leave your site to ask questions or get answers and the Qhub team knows that.
Simply visit the Integration section in your Qhub settings page and integrate Qhub as necessary. You’re able to integrate a Page-Side Tab, Questions Widget or Ask a Question Widget into your site. Just copy the code provided by Qhub and paste it into your site’s page(s).

Page Side Tab
The widgets offer quite a bit of customization within the Qhub app, letting you match them to your site design.

Final Thoughts
Qhub has just recently launched and in just over two weeks has already had over 1,000 new Qhub Q&A sites setup. There’s an obvious need for an app like this which makes setting up Q&A sites ridiculously easy. Qhub has a well designed, customizable and flexible solution that’s right on the mark. It will be great to see how the app is improved over time and how people make use of it and integrate it in their current sites.
