Christmas Giveaway Day 22: ccText

If you work in a team setting, you know how the need to share ideas and files is essential and the hub of every team. And so a well designed tool that makes working as a group easy and fun is something to be desired.

Even in beta, ccText is such a tool.

Update: Another day, another great prize. Congrats to our three winners of the ccText membership:

  • Marcus Keely
  • Sulcalibur
  • Peter Cuce

Thanks again to all of you for reading and supporting Web.AppStorm and the Envato team.

About ccText

With a simplistic, yet attractive interface, ccText makes sharing files and documents more of a joy.

I really enjoy the simple, yet flexible interface of this app.

I really enjoy the simple, yet flexible interface of this app.

You can organize your documentation and related files however you like with this tool. It supports the creation of workspaces, which can be further organized by topic. And the powerful sidebar gives you all the information you could need about everything that’s going on with your team.

Our Look at ccText

We looked at this tool last month and the results were impressive.

For corporate users who have experience with Sharepoint, a tool like cctext would be fairly familiar. But unlike the poor aesthetics and clunky interface the Microsoft offering, cctext is a smoother tool with its cleaner layout.

With all the features included and tight integration with Google Apps, ccText is a great option for any team.

How to Enter

Here’s your chance to get some free ccText usage for your team. Leave a comment below if you’re interested. The winners will be announced at the end of the day!

And a big congratulations to our winners from Day 21 — enjoy SpiderOak.

And Over at Mac.AppStorm: 1Password

Don’t forget to check out what’s going on over at Mac.AppStorm! Today they’re giving away a few copies of 1Password.

1Password can create strong, unique passwords for you, remember them, and restore them, all directly in your web browser. It’s incredibly secure, and offers a handy “one click” solution for quickly and seamlessly entering stored credentials in a login form. You can also manage multiple profiles – so storing several shipping addresses and automatically filling out a form with them becomes simple.

Come Back for Day 23

It doesn’t stop here. The giving continues each day until our grand finale on the 24th. Tune in each day for the newest prize and keep up to date with our RSS feed or Twitter account.

    Dear Santa,
I’ve been a “good boy” all year long. (Ok so I’m 63 – but aren’t we all just kids at heart) Anyway, I am going to hold my breath until I get picked. Inhaling now………. turning blue, hurry, I’m not sure I can hold it much, longer……………….

I’m definitely interested and would even venture so low as to use a cheesy and somewhat provocative pick-up line if I thought it could help my chances with ccText. Do you think it would be into that?

I’m building a couple of restaurant review type websites, and it’s always so hard to coordinate the review writing with a distributed team. I’ve tried so many different methods so far: MediaWiki, Google Docs, Google Wave, just plain email, and various other things, and nothing has the ease of use and clean interface that I need. I’d like to check this out. Sharepoint sucks btw.
