It can be tricky to find the perfect web app, when there’s so many to choose from. Then, even if you find the perfect app, it can be difficult to figure out how to best use the apps sometimes. With web apps more than almost any other category, there’s little guidance out there to help you figure out what to do.
That’s where we want to help. We’d like to know the problems you’re having with web apps – or the things you’d like to do online but can’t find the right app for – and we’ll try to help in a new Ask the Editor series. Just send us a message on Twitter @webappstorm, or fill out the form below with your question, and we’ll get to answering them in articles soon! We hope this will help us know how to focus our writing time, and make our articles more useful for you.
Sound good? Then send us a message today, and we’ll include the first answers in our post next week.

It’s kinda crazy to think, but our little internet startup, Envato, has been on the air now for five years. We started back in 2006 as four very enthusiastic and totally green entrepreneurs with a shoestring budget and a love of the web. Fast forward five years and while we’re hopefully a little less green, we’re still incredibly passionate about Education, Marketplaces and the web! It’s been an amazing time and we’d like to share a look inside our Melbourne HQ offices, some stats about Envato and a big thank you to the community.
It’s Envato’s 5th birthday and we’re ready to celebrate! With another year comes another Bundle, and this year’s Bundle is bigger and better than ever with over $500 ($507 in fact) worth of awesome files all for only $20!
With the recent public launch of Envato’s stock photography marketplace PhotoDune, we’ve been able to include even more great files. Our team have handpicked picked some super cool stuff from around the marketplaces and have worked tirelessly to cram them into our 5th Birthday Bundle. See the full list of files on the Birthday Bundle page!
Read on for a quick look through what’s inside this year…
It’s been almost five years since we launched Envato, the company behind this site and many others, and in that time we’ve built eight digital marketplaces for everything from WordPress Themes to Background Music. With our fifth birthday coming up this weekend, we’re excited to announce the beta launch of our ninth marketplace: PhotoDune for royalty free stock photos. (more…)

At the end of 2009 I was fortunate enough to take over for Chris as Editor of Web.AppStorm. I’ve seen the site grow a lot since then and along with it so have our writers and the whole wide world of web applications. It’s been one of the best experiences I’ve had so far and I’m happy to announce another talented individual will share in that experience — Matthew Guay.
I am handing over the reigns to Matthew, which many of you know from his past posts, and will be heading over to work with Envato’s marketplaces full-time. Matthew has been writing for the AppStorm network for quite awhile now and is a very talented individual, attending school and even running his own blog — Techinch.
So, rest assured, Web.AppStorm is in good hands. Thank you all for the great experience, I’ll still be around here and there so feel free to say hi. Now I’ll hand the show over to Matthew for a quick introduction. Let’s give Matthew a big warm welcome! (more…)
