There are a number of sites out there dedicated to listening to music, like Pandora and last.fm. Most of these sites are either traditional radio that is played online, or they create “stations” based upon a particular artist or song. While I use Pandora on a fairly regular basis, sometimes I like to use a site that is geared towards playlists rather than stations. When that’s the case, I turn to 8tracks. This site is comprised of thousands upon thousands of user-created playlists.

When using 8tracks, you can listen to any playlist, create your own or be a part of the social aspects of the site. Read on for more information about how this site works and why it’s definitely worth checking out.

Many businesses, small and large, frequently have to create quotes for services that they are providing for potential clients. No matter the service being provided, there are a number of similarities in any quote. While it doesn’t have to be that complex, if you’re having to create multiple quotes for each client, and then only a few of the clients you pitch actually decide to pay for your services, it can quickly get overwhelming.

Pricetag is a site that allows a user to create a custom quote for any potential client by letting you take advantage of those similarities to make the process of creating quotes a simpler and less painful process. They aim to make quotes easier by saving information that applies to all quotes, so that you only have to enter some information for  each quote. Pricetag definitely makes the process easier, but read on to find out more and learn what I think about it.

It’s that time of year .. we all have some sort of resolution, and I’m sure there’s some statistic out there that shows the overwhelming number of folks who pledge to eat better, or diet, or cut back on sugar or some sort of food-related resolution. Striking out on your own with just the general goal of “eating better” is a treacherous route and probably not all that attainable. Maybe you’ve been a little more concrete in your resolution, pledging to cut back on processed foods, or eat more organic produce.

If that’s the situation you find yourself in, everyday.io is the app for you! This app tracks your meals, but instead of focusing on the number of calories you’re taking in, it lets you focus on certain goals, a few of which are cutting back on processed foods and eating more organic produce. If you’re interested in goals for healthy eating, keep on reading.

Imagine how convenient it would be if everyone always had the insanely expensive software that you need to open whatever project it is that you’re working on. Obviously we know that isn’t the case. We know how difficult and frustrating it can be to have a file that a client needs to see that we’re unable to open because we don’t have the software around. AutoCAD, which runs $3995 for the cheapest option isn’t something most people will have on their computer. It’s a very industry based software. That’s why the news that AutoDesk came out with software called AutoCAD WS for the web and mobile devices that allows anyone to view .DWG files and even do some basic editing is fantastic! (more…)
